This is my first journal entry involving the Halo franchise. I know the current big game in the franchise is Halo 4 right now, but I'll get to that later. Now for the review.
The game is a prequel to the very first Halo game, Halo: Combat Evolved. The story revolves around a team of Spartan super soldiers trying to stop a religion crazy alien army called "The Covenant" from destroying the planet Reach. You play as Noble Team's newest member, Noble 6 who has no canon armor look, facial appearance, or even gender which means YOU are that new member. The environments and settings you visit feel more familiar because they do not take place on Halo, but military bases, natural forests, and cities, and it's really cool just walking(or flying) around and exploring them. The characters are okay. Each member of Noble Team didn't feel so well developed when it came to personality, but even so I still managed to like them. The music is simply amazing, Halo continues to pull off some awesome music tracks. There is some nostalgic value near the end of the game when you see Captain Keyes, the famed Pillar of Autumn UNSC ship, and most importantly, Spartan John-117, the main protagonist of the first Halo game. The game ends with you having to fight against The Covenant alone until you die. Overall, the story great. It's a truly epic experience. Fans have unfairly criticized the story for not being like previous Halo games, but thing is it doesn't have to. Halo: Reach isn't about Halo, it's about Reach and the tragedies that happen during it's fall. So again, the story is epic.
One of the new features of Halo: Reach is the armor abilities. There is Sprint, Jet Pack, Armor Lock, and plenty of other abilities that give you the advantage in both Campaign and Multiplayer. There are also some new weapons including the Concussion Rifle, Focus Rifle, Grenade Launcher, and my favorite, the DMR(Designated Marksman Rifle). Finally, there is the option to assassinate an enemy, you hold the melee button and see this badass animation of your character silently bringing down the unsuspecting victim. The new features of the game make it feel so new and fresh and help make it last a very long time.
Online features include Co-Op Campaign, Firefight, Multiplayer. Customization for your Spartans are back and so are the different Elite armor types. There is now matchmaking for Firefight meaning we no longer have to rely on ONLY friends like we did in Halo 3: ODST. The Multiplayer is possibly the game's best part. All the old playlists are back but with new ones like the new Invasion mode which involves Spartans going up against Elites or the other way around depending on which map you play in. It's fun, it's addicting, and oh so enjoyable, my only problem is why they didn't leave the Spartans to be green and the Elites to be purple for Invasion like they did in the beta.
With the game's satisfying Campaign, fun Firefight, and amazing Multiplayer, Halo: Reach is one of the best FPS games out there. I give the game a solid 9/10.

Why I've given up on Sonic the Hedgehog
Alright, I already declared my leaving of the fandom from my last journal, but you know what, I'm not done here yet. After seeing various videos on Youtube about what to expect from Sonic this year in 2015, I got sick to my stomach. How can anyone expect anything after such a careless mishandling of a formerly unstoppable mascot? I have to do this. I'm making a list of why I left the blue blur and why you should too. I'm sorry if this hurts coming from me, the guy who's only looked at the positives of Sonic the Hedgehog, but this must be said.
His damaged reputation is IRREVERSIBLE
Okay, so after the disastrous Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyr
I'm Sonic-ed out :(
Yeah, I hate to say it but I've lost interest in the blue blur. After the lackluster Sonic 4 Ep 2, the underwhelming Sonic Lost World, and the atomic bomb of a game Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric, I just can't wait any longer for a Sonic game that'll blow my mind. It's clear to me now that SEGA just doesn't know what to do with him. You can go ahead and say Sonic Boom was made by another developer but this is something SEGA allowed and approved. Nintendo wouldn't let such a thing happen to their characters. You can also argue that the new show makes up for it but really, it doesn't, AT ALL. I want a GAME dammit. Anyways, I'm leaving the Sonic fand
Sonic Boom Premiere Review
So I got to see the new Sonic Boom two days ago and now I'm gonna review it. Before I do so, I'd like to state my current opinions on the previous cartoons. Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog is mediocre, Sonic SatAM is great, Sonic Underground is awful, Sonic OVA is meh, and Sonic X is terrible but not the worst. I'm judging this cartoon as the action comedy sitcom that the writers have made it out to be countless times. It's not meant to be a complex story full of arcs, it's suppose to be funny and actiony. So anyways, here are my thoughts on the first two episodes.
The Intro Theme
It starts out cool but ends way too soon. It could have be
Star Wars Rebels: Spark of the Rebellion Review
Star Wars Rebels is the new cartoon series by Lucasfilms and Disney that serves as somewhat of a sequel show to Clone Wars while being it's own thing at the same time. It takes place about 15 years after Revenge of the Sith and 5 years before A New Hope. This review will be about the first two episodes, both merged into one 45 minute pilot movie, and named "Spark of the Rebellion."
The story revolves around a 14 year old thief and con artist named Ezra Bridger, who tries to survive life under the Galactic Empire and just so happens to be force sensitive. This means he has the ability to use the force and potentially become a Jedi(or Sith), b

I've played most of the Halo games. I've played Halo Combat Evolved (PC), Halo 2, Halo 3, and Halo 4. I have yet to play the others.
